The Association for Brother James Court & Affiliates
September 2008
"The purpose of the Association for Brother James Court & Affiliates is to support the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross in the provision and maintenance of services and facilities that benefit the residents of Brother James Court & Affiliates through volunteer services and financial assistance"
Our Parent Association's main objective is to support Brother James Court and its related facilities in the provision and maintenance of the services through volunteer services and financial support. With economic crises facing both our state and the country, our Association can never have too many members working to sustain Brother James Court's objectives. Nor can we become comfortable thinking that this facility, housing and caring for our family members, is forever secure.
Association members must remain aware of the state and national legislative body's ability to suddenly impact the lives of the residents at Brother James Court. The abrupt closing of the Lincoln Developmental Center a few years ago is a prime example of why the family members of a resident at Brother James Court must communicate with each other.
Through membership in the Association you will be able to maintain awareness and show your support for or against any proposals that might affect this wonderful facility or its residents. Though we may live all over the United States, we can speak as one voice as advocates for our family members.
