“Every mountain top is within reach if you just keep climbing.”

Individualized ProgramsIndividualized programs are tailored to the residents’ needs and allow them to live happily at Brother James Court and to move about the community in both working and social capacities. BJC encourages our residents to achieve the highest level of independence possible. We attain these goals through carefully crafted programming and a consistent, realistic approach. All of our residents attend day training in some form, whether it’s a workshop or a community-based position. Our men have the opportunity to learn about a working environment and work ethic that reinforces our goals outside the facility.
Daily Life at BJC
Our residents have many opportunities to reach out to the local community. The men have been involved with a variety of fundraising activities with local Knights of Columbus Councils and representing Brother James Court at its Annual Benefit Auction & Dinner every Spring. They compete in the Special Olympics annually and proudly display their medals of achievement. Their outings include movies, frequent visits to their favorite restaurants, sporting events, and live community theatre and concert venues. Many individuals present musical programs in our atrium that encourage sing-alongs and lots of dancing and clapping!
Mesha has worked in nursing homes for twenty years as a C.N.A and as an Activity Director for 3 years. Mesha loves to make a difference in the lives of others, it brings her joy to be able to put a smile on the face of others.
Do you have a great idea for a n activity for our men? Are you interested in coming in to perform for our residents? Are you interested in volunteering? We are always looking for new activities. Please contact Mesha or the Development team and we would be happy to speak with you.
