Brother James Court is located in Springfield, Illinois. Since October, 1975, BJC has served men with developmental disabilities in need of intermediate care regardless of race, ethnic origin, creed or ability. BJC provides the highest quality care and a residential environment that ensures our men enjoy life and all of its benefits in a manner consistent with the spirit and principles of the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross.

Individual programs meet the residents’ needs and allow them to live happily at Brother James Court and to move about the community in both working and social capacities.

Brother James Court is their home and meets their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs. This is their home for as long as they need us, and when terminally ill BJC is able to offer Hospice care, too. Our men are always part of a loving, supportive family.

Brother James Court is the only residential intermediate care facility of its kind within a 200-mile radius of Springfield. We are a vital asset to men with developmental disabilities.
